Heavy snow paralyzed roads in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province.
In particular, on the national road in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, vehicles were once isolated for nearly five hours.
There is a reporter on the scene. Reporter Kim Lee Young!

That's the road where the cars were isolated, how is the situation now?
[Reporter]
Even now, the road situation is not good, but the congestion has been resolved more than before.
As the cars repeatedly stopped and stopped, you could also see two trucks stuck together to see if there was a contact accident.
The road is slippery due to that heavy snow for two days.
Earlier this morning at around 5 a.m., the trailer slipped while going up the inclined road here.
has been paralyzed by the accident.
A citizen who reported the situation to YTN expressed his frustration, saying he was trapped on the road for about five hours from 6 a.m.
Let's hear the story for ourselves.
It usually comes out around 6 o'clock, but it snowed a lot today, so I left home at 4:30 because of my responsibility. I turned on the Yangji Expressway and it came out at 5:55. [But it's been blocked since then]

How bad is the road?
[Reporter]
There are many distribution centers around here, so there is a lot of traffic, but there was a lot of traffic because there was no proper detour.
Due to the accident, the national road from Yangji toll booth on the Yeongdong Expressway to Jisan was completely blocked.
It took a long time to settle it as well.
Local governments and other authorities carried out snow removal work, but the trailer vehicle was not immediately removed.
The stopped vehicle drivers carried out the snow removal work themselves, and after about five hours of isolation, the vehicle began to pass little by little.

There are snow accidents, so were there any more car skidding accidents?
[Reporter]
Local governments such as Seoul and Gyeonggi-do have been working on snow removal overnight, so major roads are better, but accidents continue around slopes such as roads and passways.
In Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, a large trailer left the Songsan grape rest area and slipped while entering the highway, and cars that stopped at the rest area were trapped for hours.
In Jeongneung-dong, Seoul, a 5-ton snowplow vehicle that was driving on the side road slipped downhill and hit a utility pole. There were also reports that they were unable to drive beyond the slow level of the
highway or city road at all, or that it took two hours to drive 1km, and that the accumulated snow caused inconvenience in traffic overnight.
Most of the heavy snow warnings in the Seoul metropolitan area have been lifted, and the heavy snow has fallen into a lull, so the snow has stopped, but there are many places that have not yet been snow-removed, so you should pay special attention to safety.
So far, I am YTN Kim Yi-young on Route 17 in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province.
