Prosecutors sentenced Kim Yong to 12 years in prison in the appellate court for "illegal political funds."

Kim is accused of colluding with former Director Yoo and lawyer Jeong Min-yong to receive 840 million won from Nam Wook, a private business in Daejang-dong, in the name of presidential election funds.

The first trial sentenced Kim to five years in prison and a fine of 70 million won for acknowledging that he received 600 million won in illegal political funds.

Lawyer Nam Wook was sentenced to eight months in prison, and former head of the division Yoo Dong-kyu and lawyer Jung Min-yong, who served as delivery measures, were acquitted, respectively.
