The Songpa Police Station executed a search warrant for the Badminton Association and the headquarters of Yonex Korea.
In Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province, he conducted a physical search on Chairman Kim, who is attending the One Yonex Korea Junior Conference, and confiscated mobile phones and other items.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a briefing on the results of the Badminton Association's office inspection and auxiliary project performance inspection on the 31st of last month and said, "We asked the police to investigate Chairman Kim, who is suspected of embezzling sponsored goods and breach of trust."
According to a Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism investigation, the Badminton Association received 150 million won of sponsored goods led by Chairman Kim Taek-kyu last year and signed a written contract to receive similar-sized goods this year.
It also believed that signing a private contract worth 2.6 billion won with a sponsor over the past two years violated the subsidy law.
