When the opposition-led plenary session passed the National Assembly's rule amendment to exclude the ruling party from recommending candidates for the permanent special prosecution for the president or relatives, the people's power was criticized as a "private special prosecutor" for Lee Jae-myung.

Floor spokesman Park Joon-tae issued an op-ed and pointed out that the Democratic Party has broken even the National Assembly rules, a symbol of parliamentary democracy and a history of constitution, and that it is the privatization of the permanent special prosecutor.

The Democratic Party then stressed that this behavior only intensifies the conviction of Representative Lee, saying that it has overused unusual legislation for Representative Lee's bulletproofness and is now undermining even the system that has been put in place under cooperation.

He also said that the brazen claim to deprive the ruling party of recommendation rights and recommend prosecutors to suit the tastes of the opposition parties is a challenge against common sense, adding that he will inform the public of the unconstitutionality and problems of the amendment.
