Ahn Se-young, the gold medalist of the Paris Olympics, has decided to skip the national team award ceremony hosted by the Badminton Association.

According to the Badminton Association, Ahn Se-young has reportedly informed her team that it is difficult to attend the award ceremony.

Ahn Se-young reportedly said he could not attend due to injury rehabilitation and personal schedule.

The Badminton Association will hold an award ceremony in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, on the 30th and pay 100 million won in prize money to Ahn Se-young, who won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, and 50 million won each to Kim Won-ho and Jung Na-eun, who won the silver medal in mixed doubles.
