Speaking at a security conference in Kazakhstan, Putin said the defence ministry and the general staff were currently considering targets to strike and could be military facilities or defense industry facilities or decision-making centers in Kyiv.
It also said it had attacked Ukraine with 90 missiles and 100 drones over the past night, and that it was a response to Ukraine's airstrikes on the U.S. Atax missile.
The airstrikes targeting major energy infrastructure in western Ukraine have reportedly cut power to 1 million homes across the country.
Putin also said his country's production of advanced missile systems is 10 times that of NATO and that it will increase further in the future.
