Seoul snow piled up 28.6cm...3rd place in all winter history

Seoul's official snowfall reached 28.6 cm, ranking third all-time throughout the winter as well as November.

At the weather station in Jongno-gu, Seoul's standard for snowfall, 28.6 centimeters of snow piled up until 8 a.m. yesterday (28th), and the maximum depth of snow accumulated on the ground for a day, the "one-heart snow," tied for third place with February 1, 1969.

The first place in history was 31 cm on March 24, 1922, and the second place was 30 cm on January 31, 1969.

By region, Gwanak-gu had the largest number of 41.2cm, followed by Seongbuk-gu with 28.4cm and Dongjak-gu with 24.8cm.

The official daily snowfall in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do (27th) was 32.3cm, the highest since 1964, when weather observation began.
