The government has decided to increase the cost of cerebrovascular surgery and surgery to remove abdominal aneurysms by up to 2.7 times to strengthen essential medical compensation.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare held a health insurance policy review committee yesterday (28th) and decided to apply the increased fee according to the difficulty of surgery from January next year.

In addition, the government has decided to support the first out-of-pocket cost of medical treatment if the national health examination mental health examination turns out to be at risk for depression and early psychosis starting next year.

Even now, depression tests are included in health checkups, but only 17.8% have led to treatment.
