Professors at Seoul National University have issued a declaration of the current situation, calling for the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Seoul National University professors and 525 researchers held a press conference yesterday (28th) in the school museum auditorium, criticizing the fact that the Itaewon disaster was not investigated, and that R&D budget cuts or medical reforms were pursued without a reasonable basis.

He also pointed out that the collapse of the democratic system is serious and that the privatization of power by President Yoon and his wife is at the root of the government's repeated mistakes.

He also argued that the president's recent press conference on the alleged manipulation of state affairs brought citizens to the square, and that the resignation of President Yoon and the independent counsel Kim Gun-hee will be the first step in raising democracy.
