At least 15 people were killed and 113 were missing after landslides in eastern Uganda, Africa, buried six villages in piles of dirt, the Associated Press reported.

On the night of the 27th local time, a landslide occurred after heavy rain fell in the mountainous area of Bulambulli, 280 kilometers east of the Ugandan capital Kampala.

With 40 homes buried, 15 people have been killed, and rescue officials believe the death toll could rise further.

Local media reported that most of the bodies recovered so far were children.
