Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, urged the Korean government to change its diplomatic stance in preparation for the launch of the second Trump administration in the United States, saying that winning a war is of no use and peace is much more important.

Representative Lee said at the Supreme Council that the possibility of dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea is growing, and if only strong-to-strong tactics are used as they are now, "Korea passing" may occur, which cannot even keep up with the international trend.

Trump also said that the war in Ukraine will be suspended early, but why are we talking about arms aid or dispatch? He pointed out that it should be seriously considered whether it will be read as an attitude to fight the new U.S. administration.

Referring to record heavy snow damage, Lee added that protecting the lives and safety of the people in the event of an unexpected crisis is the state's most basic responsibility and that the government should come up with more active measures.
