The Seoul High Court today (29th) sentenced Ahn, in his 30s, to nine years in prison, less than the first trial, on charges of violating the Youth Sex Protection Act.
In addition, 40 hours of sexual violence and child abuse treatment programs were completed, and 10 years of employment at child and youth-related institutions were prohibited.
The court criticized that Ahn, who is responsible for teaching the victims correctly, rather committed the crime by controlling the victims.
However, he added that Ahn admitted most of the crimes and considered the fact that he agreed with one victim.
Ahn, who worked as a fixed-term teacher at a middle school in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, was put on trial for committing sexual crimes against 11 boys for four years from 2019.
The first trial later found all charges guilty and sentenced them to 10 years in prison.
