In 14 hours, a gold and silver shop robber in downtown Daejeon was arrested...collection of damage

Daejeon Dunsan Police Station is urgently arresting A in his 40s for stealing precious metals from a jewelry store and running away.

Mr. A is accused of entering a gold and silver shop in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, at around 8 p.m. yesterday (28th), spraying liquid on an employee, and stealing 20 million won worth of precious metal and running away.

The liquid A sprayed smelled of pain relief patches, and the employee reportedly returned home after hospital treatment.

Mr. A, who was caught by the police at around 10:30 a.m. today (29th), is known to have claimed an accidental crime.

The police said they have recovered all the damages and requested an evaluation of the liquid sprayed by A to the National Forensic Service, and plan to apply for an arrest warrant as soon as the investigation is completed.
