Gangwon-do Governor Kim Jin-tae filed a civil lawsuit against KBS, which reported that he practiced golf in the midst of a wildfire last year, but lost the second trial as well.

The Seoul Southern District Court ruled today (29th) that Governor Kim's lawsuit against KBS and its reporter A for damages of 30 million won was defeated by the plaintiff, as in the first trial.

In response, Governor Kim reportedly said he would review whether to appeal after seeing the ruling.

Earlier in April last year, KBS reported that Governor Kim stopped at a golf practice range in the morning of the wildfire in Wonju and Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, and later had an evening drink with his acquaintances.

At the time, Governor Kim sued KBS reporters and others for defamation, saying he visited the golf practice range in the morning before the wildfire, which prosecutors acquitted earlier this month.
