Actor Jung Woo-sung, who has been embroiled in controversy over extramarital affairs, expressed his feelings at the Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony.
The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony was held at 8:30 p.m. today (29th) at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
Jung Woo-sung, who attended the ceremony, stood on stage as the presenter of the most spectators' award with actor Hwang Jung-min and handed the most spectators' award to director Kim Sung-soo of the movie "Seoul Spring."
Jung Woo-sung said on stage, "It means that there are many people who love Korean movies. I think it is the result of the moment of meeting the director and the movie who visited the theater," he said.
Jung Woo-sung, who announced 'Seoul Spring' as the No. 1 audience award, said, "I sincerely thank the audience for watching 'Seoul Spring'. I am here with the hope that I will not leave a stain on the film for my personal affairs to all those involved who have been with "Spring of Seoul." I am truly sorry for causing concern and disappointment to everyone who has sent me love and expectations," he stressed.
"I'll take all the reprimands and carry them with me. As a father, I will fulfill my responsibilities to my son to the end," he said.
Jung Woo-sung, who was nominated for best actor for the movie "Spring of Seoul," will compete with Lee Sung-min (Handsome Guys), Lee Je-hoon (Leave), Choi Min-sik (Pamyo), and Hwang Jung-min (Spring of Seoul) for best actor.
'Spring of Seoul' was released in November last year and exceeded 13 million viewers. It was the first 10 million movie for Jung. He received favorable reviews for his acting as Lee Tae-shin, commander of the Capital Security Command.
Earlier, as it was revealed that Jung Woo-sung was the biological father of the son born by model Moon Gabi, his personal life issues were reported every day, starting with the "out-of-wedlock scandal."
Therefore, much attention was paid to whether Jung Woo-sung would attend the Blue Dragon Film Awards. The agency did not give a definite answer until the day before the ceremony.
