The ruling, opposition, and political consultative body created to resolve the legislative conflict has faced a crisis of existence without producing tangible results.

Medical organizations participating in the consultative body are expected to stop their activities unless the government changes its attitude.

Reporter Kwon Min-seok's report.

The women's, medical, and government council took its first step on the 11th without major doctors, medical student groups, and the Korean Medical Association.Three meetings were held amid criticism that

{half-sized}, but only a wide gap was exposed from next year's medical school quota adjustment.

[Lee Jin-woo / President of Korean Medical Association (last 24th): The medical community reviewed practically possible measures and proposed four adjustment proposals in relation to the 25-year adjustment of the number of medical schools. I strongly demand the government's decision.]

While the consultative body remained idle, Han Dong-hoon, the representative of the People's Power, supported the establishment of the Gyeongbuk National Medical University,
The emergency committee of the
Medical Association said the consultative body was nothing more than an alibi for the government, and officially asked two medical organizations participating in the consultative body to withdraw.

One day after the emergency committee's request, the Korean Medical Association, the largest academic organization in the medical community, held a meeting of executives and decided to stop participating in the consultative body.

If there is no change in the government's forward-looking attitude, it will leave the consultative body after the general meeting on the 1st of next month.

The internal atmosphere of the Korean Medical University and Medical Graduate Association, which participated together, is also said to have weighed in on the suspension of the council's activities.

In fact, the one-day meeting is the last line of the Yeouido Council, which was the only public dialogue channel between the government and the medical community.

The Medical Association and the Medical Association will announce their final conclusions on the council's activities after last-minute coordination of positions.

Currently, it is difficult to expect a dramatic turn in the government, so the ruling, opposition, and government consultative body faces a stranded crisis less than a month after its inauguration.
