Paper drawings that were mainly used to build greenhouses had the disadvantage that it was difficult for farmers to understand and it was not easy to calculate construction costs.
Through the newly released program by the Rural Development Administration, it will be possible to design greenhouses in 3D virtual spaces as farmers want in the future.

The construction of the grape greenhouse is in full swing.
Lee Yoo-do, an farmer, said that he was building a greenhouse by designing it with paper drawings, and that there were many difficulties.
It is not easy to calculate costs to change the structure a little.
[Reason / Grape Farming CEO: I'd like to go with a structure that costs less, but I think there was a problem because people who improve the structure tend to think about safety first.]
The Rural Development Administration has developed a '3D greenhouse design support program' to solve this inconvenience.
The strength or degree of bending of the structure can be analyzed, and the cost of installing the greenhouse can be calculated by planning the crop layout in advance.
The safety of weather disasters such as strong winds and heavy snow can also be checked in advance.
[Choi Man-kwon / Agricultural Research Institute of Rural Development Administration: 3D modeling (modeling) allows you to design while looking at the greenhouse. The designed content can check the cost or estimate for the greenhouse. Not only this, but shadow analysis for growing crops is also possible.]
The Rural Development Administration expects it to be particularly helpful for farmers who have limited budgets or are unable to build greenhouses due to the unusual shape of the land.
The 3D program can be downloaded free of charge through the Nongjin Office Farming website.
