In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea pushed through next year's government budget bill, which only reflected the reduction opinion without an increase, by the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.

The controversial budget, including special activity expenses for investigative agencies, was cut significantly, with the ruling party protesting against Lee Jae-myung, the representative of the party, saying it was a cut in anger for BTS, while the Democratic Party countered that it was a restoration of principle.

Please tell me the urgent review of the budget plan last evening.

The Democratic Party of Korea passed a budget bill that only reflected the reduction opinion to prevent the government's budget bill from automatically going up to the plenary session due to the failure of the ruling and opposition parties' agreement with one day left before the deadline for the budget committee's activities.

It is the first time in the constitutional history that the budget has been handled by the opposition party alone in the Budget and Accounts Committee.

The passed budget was 673.3 trillion won, which is 4 trillion won less than the government's proposal.

The special activity costs of the presidential office, prosecutors, police, and investigative agencies such as the Board of Audit and Inspection, which the ruling and opposition parties have been confronting, have all been cut.

The budget for the Donghae gas field project and Yongsan Park has also been drastically reduced, and the reserve budget for unexpected expenditures has been reduced by 2.4 trillion won and about half.

Unlike increasing the budget, it is possible for the National Assembly to reduce the budget without government consent.

In order to pass the reduction budget, the Democratic Party of Korea also gave up its key project budget, which did not reflect representative Lee Jae-myung's signature policies of 2 trillion won in local currency budget and various increases in people's livelihoods.

The Democratic Party said that due to the president's repeated veto, the only thing left in the National Assembly is the right to review the budget, and that it has restored the principle of budget review for the people.

On the other hand, the power of the people, in particular, pointed out that the budget of the investigative agency has been drastically reduced, and protested that it is a reduction in retaliation for Lee Jae-myung's investigation.

However, the general observation is that the reduction budget is unlikely to be passed at the plenary session.

This is because the increase in the district's budget is not reflected much, which could lead to opposition parties' opposition, and it is unclear whether National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik will put the unilateral budget bill to the plenary session.

While some analysts say that the opposition party will take the lead in budget negotiations by leveraging the passed reduction plan, the conclusion is expected to be made in the negotiations between the floor leaders of the two parties.

It is difficult for the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties to continue negotiations immediately today as it is the weekend.

Detailed discussions are expected to begin in earnest at a meeting of floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties ahead of the plenary session scheduled for next Monday, the legal deadline for handling the budget bill.

So far, I've delivered it to you by the National Assembly.
