According to local media VN Express, a 71-year-old man who bought Vietnamese sandwich banh mi in Vung Tau, southern Vietnam, died the next day.
The man was hospitalized for vomiting and diarrhea after eating anti-American, and his condition worsened and he eventually died.
Recently, more than 300 people who ate the same store banh mi as the man visited the hospital due to suspected food poisoning, and 120 of them are still under treatment.
The exact cause of death of a man in his 70s is not yet known.
Authorities are inspecting the anti-American sold at this store and tracking the source of the ingredients.
Large-scale food poisoning incidents have occurred one after another in Vietnam.
In May, 351 employees were hospitalized after a food poisoning outbreak occurred at a clothing factory in the Vietnamese subsidiary of Korean fashion company Shinwon.
In April, 568 people who bought anti-American food at a restaurant in the southern province of Dongnai were hospitalized with food poisoning symptoms.
