A British court rejected Grint's lawsuit against the IRS, saying the tax collection was unfair.
Earlier in 2019, the U.K. IRS imposed an additional tax on Grint, saying he paid less taxes by reporting 4.5 million pounds of additional profits from movies, including DVD sales and streaming copyrights, as assets, not income.
Grint filed a lawsuit, but the court recently ruled that it was justified to tax these profits as income.
Grint, who is 36 this year, is estimated to have made 24 million pounds and 42 billion won in our money by appearing in all eight Harry Potter series from 2001 to 2011.
Grint also lost a separate lawsuit in 2019 over the £1m tax charge.
