The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is considering increasing its spring cabbage stockpile from 10,000 tons to 15,000 tons starting next year and extending the stockpile from June to August to the end of September.
Through this, the policy is to solve the supply and demand problem until autumn cabbage is shipped in earnest.
Earlier, the retail price of a cabbage reached 10,000 won at the end of September due to the sluggish cabbage crop in highland areas due to the heat wave that continued late this year.
