However, in the smart farm, romaine lettuce and xandra, which are representative European vegetables, are growing deliciously.It is hydroponic cultivation in which vegetables are grown with water instead of
, which is quite different from ordinary hydroponic cultivation.

There are four fish tanks inside the farm.
More than 1,000 scented fish and goldfish are raised here, and the excrement of this fish becomes a nutrient for vegetables.

It is recognized as an agricultural method that is free from water shortage and environmental pollution as well as eco-friendly.
Although vegetables are grown in this way, scented fish in tanks are sold for food and goldfish for ornamental purposes. In short, you can eat pheasants and eggs, and it's like two birds with one stone.
In order to promote this farming method, Yangsan Station has the first "Aquaponics Vertical Farm" in Korea.
