Exports that support our economy rose last month, continuing their 14th consecutive month of increase.
Exports of semiconductors, in particular, reached an all-time high as of November.
I'm connecting you with a reporter from the Ministry of Economy. Reporter Choi Ayoung!
How much did exports increase last month?
[Reporter]
Last month, Korea's exports totaled $56.4 billion.
This is a 1.4% increase compared to November last year.
As a result, exports have continued to increase for 14 consecutive months since October last year.
However, export growth has slowed for four months, hitting this year's low last month.
Last month's income was $50.7 billion, down 2.4% from the same period last year.
This marks the 18th consecutive month of surplus since June last year, with the trade balance surplus of $5.6 billion.
In the first 11 months of this year, the cumulative trade surplus was $45.2 billion, the largest in six years.

Last month's export profit must have been semiconductors, right?
[Reporter]
Exports of semiconductors were the biggest performance ever as of November.
Exports of semiconductors reached $12.5 billion last month, up nearly 31% from the same month last year.
We are breaking our highest monthly performance for four consecutive months.
On the other hand, automobiles, the two major export mountains, saw their exports fall nearly 14% to $5.6 billion last month.
It turned downward in early November as a strike by major auto parts makers and bad weather delayed shipments of export vehicles.
In addition, exports to China fell 0.6% and exports to the U.S. fell 5.1% last month, leading to a decline in both major export markets.
This is attributed to China's sluggish landscape and slowing exports of automobiles and general machinery to the United States.
