Conservative Organization Accuses Lee Jae-myung of Impeaching the Director of Audit and Prosecutor

While the Democratic Party of Korea seeks to impeach the chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection and the prosecutor, a conservative civic group has filed a complaint with the prosecution against Lee Jae-myung and others.

Today (1st), the Committee for the Livelihood of the People filed a complaint with the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office to investigate Lee Jae-myung, Park Chan-dae, and Chung Cheong-rae, chairman of the Legislative Judicial Committee, on charges of abuse of authority.

The group argued that the impeachment drive against Lee Chang-soo, the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, is intended to slow the investigation and paralyze the state administration by suspending his duties.

He also criticized the push for the impeachment of the Board of Audit and Inspection Choi as a retaliatory measure for the failure to produce audit results as desired.
