At dawn, a vehicle driving on a four-lane road loses its balance and slides off.

The vehicle that follows goes around completely once.

One person was injured and treated at the hospital as more than 10 vehicles collided one after another.

The cause of the accident is believed to be 'black ice'.

It refers to 'black ice' that is made thin on the road as it melts and freezes again after snow falls.

'Black Ice' is hard to see with the eyes, so you won't know until you enter the section.

The main culprit of the large-scale car crash in winter is black ice, called the "assassassist on the road."

[Lee Young-joo / Professor of Fire and Disaster Prevention at Kyungil University: There are many cases where melted water from outside freezes around the entrance to the inside of the tunnel, so you should pay special attention to driving safely and preventing slipping.]

In fact, experiments by YTN and specialized agencies show that braking distances are more than twice as long as ordinary roads in the black ice section.

Snow and rain are predicted throughout the country along with the full-fledged winter cold this week, raising concerns about icy roads.

In addition, there are observations that 'wet' heavy snow will become as frequent as this winter.

Experts advised that you should use public transportation when it rains or snows in winter and slow down even if you are forced to drive.
