Figure skater Lee Hae-in, who returned after a court battle after receiving a three-year suspension from the Skating Union for sexual harassment by his junior, ranked fifth in the national team selection contest.

Lee Hae-in ranked fifth with a total score of 190.64 in the first round of the national team's selection match at Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink.

Lee Hae-in failed to win this tournament, but according to the regulations, only 17 years old or older can participate in the Four Continents Championships.

After the game, Lee Hae-in said at a press conference, "I apologize once again for causing great disappointment," and said, "I will bow down and become a more mature and responsible player."

Cha Jun-hwan won the men's title in the first round of the national figure skating singles competition and Kim Chae-yeon won the women's title.
