While North Korea has been continuously demolishing South Korean assets in the Mt. Geumgang tourist district, it has been confirmed that the golf course clubhouse that has remained for a while is also being demolished recently.

Unification Ministry spokesman Koo Byung-sam said in a regular briefing today, "We understand that only some facilities, including the reunion center for separated families, have not been demolished."

He then stressed that North Korea will be held accountable for acts that infringe on the property rights of our government and companies, even if it takes time.

The golf course in the Mt. Geumgang tourist district was created by South Korean resort company Ananti and revised in 2008, but it was not operated as tourism was suspended due to the tourist shooting incident.

North Korea has been continuously demolishing related facilities since Chairman Kim Jong-un ordered the removal of all South Korean facilities that make him feel bad just by visiting the site in 2019.
