A man in his 20s was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence for assaulting and threatening to kill passengers in anger at the request to give up his subway seat.

According to the legal community on the 1st, Judge Sung Joon-kyu of the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Han (25) to eight months in prison and two months of probation on the 21st of last month on charges of injury, intimidation and insult.

Han is accused of assaulting the passenger in anger at another passenger's request to give up his seat while sitting in two seats on the subway line 3 in Seoul on June 17.

Han reportedly pushed the passenger's chest several times, grabbed him by the collar, and even cursed at passengers around him. When the police, who were dispatched after receiving a report

, stopped him, Han revealed the tattoo on his body and threatened to kill him, saying, "I'm going to die," and "Let's make the subway station a bloodbath."

The passengers who were assaulted are said to have been injured for two weeks.

The court said, "The nature of the sentencing is not good, such as the time and form of physical exertion and remarks that insult or threaten the victim." However, the fact that it is difficult to say that the degree of injury is serious was considered as a favorable normal.
