Kang Hye-kyung, who raised suspicions about the intervention of the nomination of President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, requested the court to preserve evidence of the old mobile phone used by President Yoon and First Lady Kim Gun-hee.Lawyers for Mr. Kang

said they have submitted a request for the preservation of evidence to the Seoul Western District Court, which has jurisdiction over Yongsan-gu, where Mr. Yoon and his wife's mobile phones are located.

The lawyers argued that as officials in the case, including Myung Tae-kyun, are driving Kang as a liar, talking to him and destroying evidence, it is imperative to find out the actual truth by securing evidence quickly.

Earlier, the presidential office said on the 24th of last month that President Yoon and his wife stopped using their previous personal cell phones and replaced them.
