A fire in a detached house in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province...a two-dong fireplace

A fire broke out at 4:20 p.m. yesterday (2nd) in a detached house in Hoam-dong, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, and was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

No one was injured when A, a man in his 70s, was evacuated, and the fire burned all two houses, causing damage estimated by the fire department of about 18 million won.

Police and fire authorities believe that A caught fire while using a portable gas stove and are investigating the exact circumstances.
