The representative snacks that come to mind when the cold wind blows are hoppang and fish cake.

From winter food to cold-weather goods, the retail industry, which struggled in the shorter fall, is jumping into winter product marketing.

When I cut the hot hoppang in half, the sweet potato paste reveals its face.

If you take a bite of steaming fish cake soup, the cold will suddenly run away.

[Lee Jungwoo / Changsin-dong, Seoul: I wore thin clothes, not knowing if it would be too cold today, but I saw fish cake on my way home. I think my body has melted a lot because I came in and ate warm.

As more consumers seek warm snacks in the cold weather, the retail industry is also offering winter snacks.

In the past two weeks, sales of baked sweet potatoes, fish cakes, and steamed buns sold at domestic convenience stores have increased by as much as 80% from the previous two weeks. The demand for heating appliances and cold-weather appliances is also the same for

'winter essential items'.

In the past four days, heater sales at a large supermarket have increased 140% from the previous day, and sales of electric mats and underwear have also increased by 30-60%, respectively, during the same period.

[Kim Hyo-chan / Seoul Yeokchon-dong: The temperature is low outside, so I'm here to install a heater and an electric pad in my mother's room.]

In particular, the fashion industry, which has seen its fall performance slump due to the long heat, is trying to make up for it with winter products.

[Kim Jae-eun/Fashion platform official: Consumer sentiment has been dampened by high prices and autumn product sales have been somewhat low, but we are planning to expand sales through massive discount events this winter]

The retail industry, which has not enjoyed the special sales due to the shorter fall, is focusing on marketing aimed at winter.
