Ukrainian authorities estimated on the 2nd local time that Russia used 60 of the ballistic missiles provided by North Korea to attack Ukraine.

Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency (DIU) spokesman Andriy Cherniak said in a local radio interview that Russian forces have so far fired about 60 missiles supported in North Korea, according to local media RBC Ukraine.

The reports come after Ukrainian authorities said late last month that North Korea had previously provided Russia with more than 100 KN-23 and KN-24 short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs), and that Russia has been using such missiles since late last year.

The KN-23 and KN-24 are tactical guided missiles similar to Russia's "Iskander-M" and the U.S. ATACMS, respectively, and the North Korean names are "Hwasong-11a" and "Hwasong-11a."

Cherniak said North Korea's KN-23 missiles provided by Russia were made with outdated technology.

Russia is also provided with millions of ammunition from North Korea, adding that Moscow has its own military supplies but relies on North Korean ammunition.
