Prime Minister Ishiba said in a question yesterday about the representatives of each party in the House of Representatives, "What political parties should avoid about corporate and organizational donations is that their policies go wrong because of donations, and the Liberal Democratic Party does not think it is inappropriate."
The Asahi Shimbun reported that the Liberal Democratic Party has decided not to conclude this year on the issue of corporate and organizational donations, which has emerged as an issue of reopening the Political Fund Act, but to postpone it until after next year.
However, Prime Minister Ishiba said he would submit related legislation to the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, which ends this month, to abolish policy activity expenses paid by political parties to lawmakers.
