On the stock market, the KOSPI opened 0.72 percent higher at 2,472.06.
Most of the top market cap stocks are on the rise, while Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are also on the rise despite the U.S. announcement of HBM China export controls.
The KOSDAQ index also opened 0.46 percent higher at 678.98 amid net foreign buying.
The won-dollar exchange rate rose to 1,407 won as of 8:25 and then fell, trading in the early 1,400 won range.
