Prime Minister Han Deok-soo expressed concern about the delay in the parliament's budget bill process, saying that the damage would be entirely to the people and the national economy.

Prime Minister Han said in his opening remarks at the Cabinet meeting today (3rd) that the central government, local governments, and public institutions will inevitably face a setback in their preparation for project execution as next year's budget has not yet been processed beyond the legal deadline set by the Constitution.

He explained that next year's budget submitted by the government includes projects necessary for strengthening support for the socially underprivileged and future growth.

He then stressed that the budget that the opposition party intends to reduce is a necessary budget to reduce the risk of our economy due to external uncertainty and to strengthen industrial competitiveness such as semiconductors and AI.

Prime Minister Han called for bipartisan cooperation so that next year's budget can be processed through an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties as soon as possible.
