The National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee voted on a request for an audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection, saying senior prosecutors at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office are suspected of violating the prosecutor's political neutrality, issuing a collective statement in opposition to the opposition's push to impeach the prosecutor.

The audit request, which was resolved at the plenary session of the Judiciary Committee, stated allegations that the prosecutors' actions violated the Constitution and their political neutrality obligations as state officials, and that they violated laws prohibiting political movements.

In addition, the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office also included an audit request to push for disciplinary action and inspection against these prosecutors.

The ruling party protested, asking how the prosecutors expressed their political opinion when the opposition party continued to push for impeachment at a time when the prosecutor Lee Jung-seop's impeachment was rejected by the Constitutional Court.

On the other hand, the opposition party refuted Kim Gun-hee's accusation of involvement in stock price manipulation, saying that the public is angry because prosecutors, who did not post a single article, oppose the impeachment drive.

The audit request, which was decided by the opposition party, is expected to be processed at the plenary session as early as tomorrow (4th).
