The Seoul Southern District Court sentenced a woman in her 60s to 12 years in prison today (3rd) for stealing 9 billion won in deposits and loans by buying dozens of officetels through "no capital gap investment."

The court pointed out that the crime was carried out in a planned and organized manner, with a large number of victims and a large amount of money intercepted.

He also explained that he considered the fact that A committed the crime during the past criminal period and that little damage was recovered except for some loans being repaid.

Earlier, A is accused of stealing 9.1 billion won, including deposits and loans from tenants, using 27 officetels bought in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province with "no capital gap investment" for five years from 2018.
