An acquaintance who produced deepfake sexual exploitation was arrested by a teenager who threatened him.

The Ansan Sangnok Police Station arrested a 19-year-old man yesterday (2nd) on charges of threatening an acquaintance who produced sex exploitation using deepfakes to extort money and distribute false videos on social media.

Mr. A is accused of stealing 5 million won by threatening to distribute a fake video using photos of three middle and high school classmates on his acquaintance B's mobile phone in July.Mr.

B filed a complaint with the police when Mr. A asked for another 5 million won, and Mr. A was found to have released false videos on social media after learning about this.

The police plan to further investigate and charge B, who was threatened, on charges of creating deepfake sexual exploitation.
