Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province Kim Dong-yeon wrote about President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of an emergency order, "The president's anti-constitutional measures, the people will prevent it."

Governor Kim posted on Facebook and wrote, "The riot that turned Korea back 45 years ago, lift the emergency martial law."

"Does the Republic of Korea really return to 1979?" he said, adding, "The military should be on the side of the people in any case."
