Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo expressed regret over the emergency martial law but said it was a midnight happening.
Mayor Hong wrote on his SNS, saying, "I understand President Yoon's loyalty, but it was a rash happening."
He went on to say that it was regrettable that there was only such a way, adding that he hopes to take care of it well.
