Among the leaders at the meeting, some consensus was formed on the departure of President Yoon Suk Yeol, the resignation of the Cabinet, and the dismissal of Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, multiple participants said.
Supreme Council member Kim Jong-hyuk said in a radio interview that most of them agreed that reprimand should be followed by those responsible, including the defense minister, and that Kim Jae-won and Kim Min-jeon, who are considered "pro-Yoon-gye," did not attend.
The ruling party will reach a final conclusion at an emergency meeting of lawmakers to be held shortly after the end of the Supreme Council.
