In the aftermath of the emergency martial law incident, the Central District Prosecutors' Office canceled the expanded chief prosecutor's meeting scheduled for today as the National Assembly suspended the impeachment vote on Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.

The prosecutor's office canceled the expanded chief prosecutor's meeting scheduled to be held at around 2 p.m. today (4th).

The move comes after the Democratic Party of Korea suspended the process of voting on the impeachment motion against three prosecutors, including Chief Prosecutor Lee, to focus on the resignation of President Yoon due to the emergency martial law.

Earlier, the chief prosecutor called a meeting to urge the acting system to be implemented without a hitch as some of the command, including himself, will be vacant if the impeachment motion is passed.
