Negotiations between Korail and the National Railroad Workers' Union have finally broken down, and they will go on strike from the first day tomorrow (5th).

The railway union and Korail negotiated for nearly five hours from 4 p.m. today, but failed to reach an agreement on key issues such as wage hikes.

As a result, the Seoul metropolitan subway lines 1, 3, and 4, the center of Gyeongui, the Suinbundang line, all KTX lines, and ordinary trains such as Saemaul and Mugunghwa will be affected by the strike from the first train tomorrow.

In the case of the metropolitan subway, 90% of the usual operation will be operated during commuting time and 75% of the total time.

In addition, KTX will operate at 67 percent of the usual level, and Saemaul and Mugunghwa will operate at 58 percent and 62 percent, respectively.

Korail will work with a total of 14,861 people, including essential maintenance and replacement personnel, which is 60% of the normal workforce.

KORAIL asked for a preliminary check, saying that trains that are not searched on the mobile app "KorailTalk" and the website are trains that do not operate.
