Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, has decided not to attend the trial of corruption cases in Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong on the 6th due to the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Representative Lee's lawyer submitted a statement of absence to the Seoul Central District Court, saying, "It is difficult to attend the trial as the National Assembly vote is scheduled on the 6th amid a strict situation."

The Democratic Party and other six opposition parties plan to submit the impeachment bill of President Yoon Suk Yeol to the National Assembly and vote on it on the 6th or 7th.
