The impeachment motion of Yoon Suk Yeol's president, proposed by opposition parties such as the Democratic Party of Korea, was reported to the plenary session of the National Assembly.
The impeachment vote is expected to take place as early as the 6th, but the opposition party seems to be engaged in a "speed war," saying President Yoon could take out martial law cards again.

The impeachment motion of Yoon Suk Yeol's president, proposed by the Democratic Party and six other opposition parties, was reported to the plenary session of the National Assembly.
It took less than 10 hours since the motion for the impeachment bill, which had begun preparatory work immediately after the emergency martial law incident, to reach the plenary session.
In other words, the process has been completed quickly, but Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun's impeachment bill was also submitted to the plenary session.
[Jung Myung-ho / Director of the National Assembly: From 191 people to the impeachment of the presidential Yoon Suk Yeol, and from 170 people including Park Sung-joon, the defense minister Kim Yong-hyun was proposed on Dec. 4]
The impeachment bill contained that President Yoon committed "insurrection acts" that promiscuous the National Constitution, including specifying that he would suspend the function of the National Assembly in martial law declaration.
Since the impeachment bill must be voted on within 72 hours after 24 hours after the plenary session's report, it can be voted on from the plenary session after midnight on the 6th.
However, the Democratic Party said there were various opinions within the party over the timing of the vote and that the final decision would be delegated to the leadership.
The president of the Board of Audit and Inspection and the prosecutor's impeachment card were taken out again, criticizing the public's power to decide the opposition party's opposition to the impeachment.

Representative Lee Jae-myung, who attended the emergency meeting earlier, argued that the night when martial law was imposed was not believed to be a reality and that President Yoon appeared to be in a state of difficulty in making a normal and rational judgment.

The Democratic Party is also working hard on public opinion campaigns by discussing ways to unite with civil society groups that are holding rallies in Gwanghwamun and the National Assembly in Seoul.
