The National Railroad Workers' Union has gone on strike indefinitely.
Labor and management negotiated until late afternoon yesterday, but they failed to agree and the train operation was disrupted from today.

How is the train running?

The train operation has been disrupted since the first train today.
Based on the Gyeongbu Line, more than 40 trains will be suspended today alone.
In addition, more than 220 trains, including Gyeongjeon Line, Donghae Line, and Honam Line, will stop operating today.
During the strike, KTX is expected to operate at 67% of normal and Saemaul at 58% of normal.
In addition, some lines and sections of the Seoul Metro Subodang Line or Gyeongui Central Line, which is in charge of KORAIL, have been suspended.
In the case of the subway, the driving rate during rush hour remains above 90% of normal hours, but overall, it is expected to fall to 76% of normal levels.
This is because only 60% of normal time can be operated even if about 4,500 replacement workers are put into 10,000 essential maintenance personnel.
Last-minute negotiations between labor and management at the Korea Railroad Corporation broke down last evening, and the union went on strike indefinitely from today.
The railway union, which has demanded a 2.5% increase in basic salary and a settlement of overdue wages, argued that it tried to minimize public inconvenience at a time when emergency martial law was declared, but that the management was consistent with an irresponsible attitude.
Due to the breakdown of the negotiations, the railway union plans to hold a general strike ceremony in five places across the country today, including Seoul Station.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it will minimize inconvenience by using alternative transportation methods such as buses, taxis and domestic aircraft until the strike is over.
Korail also announced the train scheduled to be suspended and asked to check the train operation information in advance through its mobile app and website.
