As soon as martial law was declared, Goyang City convened an emergency meeting on the 3rd night because the safety of 1.08 million Goyang citizens should be the top priority. Until early next month, we held discussions to prepare countermeasures like this. Although martial law was lifted in five and a half hours, social chaos and economic repercussions are feared to continue for the time being, so Goyang City will focus all its administrative power to minimize confusion among citizens while closely watching the situation. And especially when this happens these days, it affects prices a lot.

In the meantime, we have been very busy to open the era of success in Goyang and the era of citizens' happiness. Our Goyang Free Economic Zone, which has been preparing by running on its own feet at the same time as taking office, was selected as the candidate site for the first time in northern Gyeonggi Province, and we are actually doing our best to make the final designation. Starting with the construction of Ilsan Techno Valley last year, Goyang Broadcasting Video Valley and IP Convergence Content Cluster were created, along with the development of drones and aviation downtown air traffic, and large-scale self-sufficient foundations are on track. And it is firmly established as a future growth engine for Goyang City, and in October, Goyang City applied for a lot of special zones and tried to be designated, but it did not work out. However, this time, a venture business promotion district has been designated. It has laid a very important foothold for the growth of venture companies, attracting new companies, and creating jobs. So this is also the first time in northern Gyeonggi Province.

◇ Donghwan Lee: Yes. The Goyang Free Economic Zone is a very serious regulation because Goyang City is now an overcrowded control zone in the Seoul Metropolitan Area Improvement Planning Act. As a result, the green belt and other military facility protection zones are in place, and in order to solve this problem in a situation where regulations are serious, the foundation for going to a self-sufficient city must be established, but there is no other way to solve it. However, if one of them is to designate a free economic zone in Goyang City, it is possible to attract foreign companies and create an environment in which many companies can actually enter. Regulations have been eased, and tax support can actually be provided. So, we are doing our best to do that this time, but attracting companies and creating jobs are what the citizens of Goyang City here aspire to. So I'm planning to create an opportunity for Goyang City to transform itself in the future. As for what happened now, the development plan research service has almost been completed, and the opinions of residents have been completed. So the final application was made by the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority to apply to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, so we couldn't do it ourselves. So I keep asking you to apply for it, and if it is applied, I think it will be possible to coordinate well with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to receive the final designation.

◇ Lee Dong-hwan: The strength is that if we usually enter a company and do activities, the most basic thing is the living environment that corresponds to the place of life, right? The living environment is the best in the world.

So based on that human resource, and actually, if a lot of companies come in from abroad, shouldn't the airport be close? There are two airports in Goyang City. Gimpo Airport is close to you in 20 minutes. Incheon Airport takes only 40 minutes. That's why I always promote and sell somewhere because it's a city with two airports.

Besides what I said, Goyang City has brought a lot of meaningful changes across the city by creating various opportunities to innovate under regulations. One of them has been selected as a pilot area for special educational development zones, taking the lead in innovation in public education. In addition, a 320 billion won public offering project was selected for the Changneungcheon Integrated River Contest. Recently, it has also been selected for a smart city public offering project, which is about 40 billion won. As it becomes such a public offering project, our financial conditions are a little difficult, but through the public offering project, we overcome some difficult financial conditions and create a foothold for growth. In terms of transportation, the section from Sosa to Ilsan on the West Sea Line was opened last year, and the GTX-A route will be opened for the first time at the end of this year. That's why we're completing a new traffic map in the metropolitan area. And last month, we announced the development of the Daegok Station area, which was Goyang City's long-cherished project. So, I think Daegok Station will be transformed into a three-dimensional complex transfer center, but it is also a transportation hub and five routes are connected to it, so we will naturally create a knowledge convergence complex with the concept of a transfer town there. So, Goyang City's self-sufficiency and competitiveness are strengthened, and not only this, but there are too many.
