Prosecutors are investigating military officials who recalled former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and played a key role during martial law.

The prosecution's special investigation headquarters remanded former Minister Kim, who was imprisoned in the Dongbu Detention Center in Seoul, to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office from 5 p.m. on the 6th.

Earlier, the prosecution launched an investigation at around 1:40 a.m. today (8th) with former Minister Kim's voluntary attendance and arrested him urgently about six hours later.

The prosecution plans to seek an arrest warrant for former Minister Kim as early as tomorrow.

In addition, military officials such as Joint Chiefs of Staff Jeong Jin-pal, who was the deputy commander of the martial law command, and Lee Sang-hyun, commander of the 1st Airborne Brigade of the Army Special Warfare Command, who commanded the National Assembly's dispatch unit, are being summoned as reference.

A prosecution official explained that it was important to secure statements from key figures because instructions and orders were key to this emergency martial law situation.
