Girl group Newzins is causing a stir in the entire K-pop industry by declaring the termination of its exclusive contract against its agency, Adore. Newzins says the declaration of the termination of the exclusive contract is a legitimate measure for Adore's failure to protect his artists, and the Korea Management Association and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association strongly criticize the move and point out that it is "an act that disturbs the order of the industry."

Earlier, Newzins said that Adore and Hive violated their exclusive contracts and failed to fulfill their artist protection obligations, and as a result, their trust relationship broke down and notified them of the termination of the exclusive contract. In addition, they claimed that Hive tried to undermine and reverse viruses to denigrate Newzins, and that Adore aided and abetted them.

In response, Newzins claims that he requested Adore to correct the breach of the contract, but it was not accepted, and that he notified the termination of the contract under the contract and took effect immediately. He also stressed that the filing of a lawsuit for validation of the exclusive contract was only a procedure to obtain confirmation from the court afterwards, and that he was no longer affiliated with Adore from November 29, 2024.

As the situation worsened, the Korea Management Association and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association strongly criticized New Jeans' move and began to extinguish the situation.

Despite the industry's dissuasion, Newzins has repeatedly claimed that he "no longer belongs to Odor," signaling his own activities. Recently, he appeared at a concert by the Japanese mixed group Yoavo and performed without using the team name.

However, there is a rough road ahead of New Jeans. There are a number of challenges to overcome, including legal disputes with Odor, public opinion that has become uncertain since the press conference, and restrictions on follow-up activities. Attention is focusing on whether Newzins' choice to push ahead with its own activities despite the industry's dissuasion will be a courageous decision or will remain reckless.
