Former Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Kang-wook, who was indicted on charges of publishing false information in connection with the issuance of false internship certificates for his son, the leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, will be sentenced to appeal.

The Supreme Court will hold an appeal tomorrow (12th) against former lawmaker Choi.

Former lawmaker Choi was fined 800,000 won in the first and second trials for making remarks to the effect that Cho's son was actually active in connection with the false issuance of a confirmation of his son's internship at a law firm on Internet broadcasts during the 2020 general election.

Earlier in the day, former lawmaker Choi lost his parliamentary seat after his prison sentence was confirmed for interfering with the work of admissions officers by issuing false confirmation of internship activities.
